Materials engineering and inspection services
For lightweight constructions and membrane structures, we carry out on-site inspections and specialised laboratory tests of technical textiles. We are DIBt recognised as a testing, monitoring and certification body (PÜZ). Our experts also inspect, test and certify reinforcing steel and metal construction products. For fire protection of buildings we test sprinkler heads on our own test stand.
Testing and certification according to DIN 488 and building authority approval
As a manufacturer or processor of concrete-reinforcing steel, you must comply with legal requirements. Our materials experts test and certify your products on site and in the accredited DEKRA laboratory.
In addition to the dimensions and profiling or ribbing of reinforcing steel products, tests in the laboratory include essential properties such as elasticity, ductility, tensile strength, yield strength and weldability.
Our DEKRA laboratory is recognised by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) and by the Supreme Building Authority as a testing, monitoring and certification body (PÜZ) according to Building Regulation List A and accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

Legally compliant fulfilment of technical requirements
The scope of DIN standard 488 for reinforcing steel extends to weldable steel grades for concrete reinforcement, which can be designed as bars, rings, meshes or grids. For reinforcement elements that deviate from this standard, a building authority approval by the responsible state building authority is required.
Our materials laboratory in Saarbrücken is a DBV-approved testing body for industrially manufactured supports according to Eurocode 2 in accordance with Annex A, DBV leaflet "Supports" (certification based on certificate).

Safety testing and production monitoring of traffic sign carriers
For engineering structures such as gantries, traffic sign supports, steel poles or fork stands, strict legal regulations apply for inspection and maintenance. Our experts carry out the necessary inspections for stability and road safety on the basis of DIN 1076 and also undertake the monitoring and approval of such installations during production.

Detect and correct defects at an early stage
In road traffic, gantries serve as support systems for signposts and traffic signs, on motorways as well as in car parks. To ensure stability and traffic safety, operators must have these systems regularly inspected by experts for defects and damage caused by accidents and material wear in accordance with DIN 1076.

Accredited sprinkler head testing according to VdS 2091
Sprinkler systems reliably protect people, buildings and installations in the event of fires and help to effectively meet fire protection requirements.

Accredited sprinkler test stand according to VdS 2091
Laboratory tests of sprinkler heads taken from existing sprinkler systems are carried out on our accredited sprinkler head test stand in accordance with VdS 2091 - also and in particular for experts and persons qualified to inspect water extinguishing systems.
